Love their coffee and scones!

Great coffee. There is a decided lack of disco, but I guess it goes along with the death of polyester suits. There are always a metric ton of city workers here over lunch, and I cannot remember ever seeing any polyester. Lots of suits though. The disco music era gave way to punk, to hair bands, to grunge, to aging mouseketeers, and the suits kept up. The coffee cups are real, and the food is not made by cyborgs. It tastes of the folibleness of humanity in every bite. (Not byte) cyborgs are welcome according to the sign, and I'm glad hate isn't on the menu, even though personally, I do believe all cyborgs are out to get us. One of the signs of an impending cyborg sit it is Hertzog music. It's very different from disco, and is easy to spot. It's not played here either. It's not a place for night owls, as the hours, and nosy police, prevent any coffee drinking on the premises after their afternoon closing. It's the only place in town to get a decent grilled pb&j, and that says everything.

It was ok. The place looks worn and tired. The cheerful waitress had menus that we're dog-eared, stained and torn. The sandwiches we're okay, but looked like you made the from store packed meats and bread. Egg salad was good. Panini wasn't cooked completely and was reheated in the microwave. Waitress was very attentive, but had the whole dinning area to cover.

My new Favorite place. Love the atmosphere and prices are great! I really like the place a lot. Very nice staff and they get me in and out in plenty enough time to get back to the office.

This is one of my favorite places in Pekin. I enjoy sitting by the window, especially on a rainy day. Great atmosphere, service, and food and drinks. My favorite is the cafe mocha.

Do you like coffee? Then go there. It has a grand atmosphere with very nice people and the food is awesome too.

Great place to chill and get work done. Quite with a cup of coffee and the owner is real nice to everyone.

Good small dishes for breakfast and lunch. A nice selection of brewed coffees. I have a grilled panini and it was well made.

I don't go very often but I have never gotten a bad coffee there. And I ask for some unusual stuff sometimes!

Once you know what you like, it's pretty consistent and it has that local feel that you just don't get at a Starbucks

A lovely little spot with superb coffee and food. Unfortunately, the limited hours make it nearly impossible to frequent if you're a student or you work full time. Oh, how I wish CJ's had decent evening and weekend hours.

Limited menu well done, the chicken club croissant was delicious.Wonderful decor and excellent coffee.All this plus relaxed attentive service at a great price. Eat here you wont be disappointed.

Always delightful for breakfast or lunch. We are incredibly sad that lunch is no longer served and hope for the day that it will resume. Dallas and Jill run a great and friendly restaurant.

walked in, greeted with a smile. place wasn't busy so received quick service. prices are great. will definitely return next time I'm in town. had a double iced mocha with a shot of expresso, it was excellent. would recommend to a friend all day

Charming ambiance with a wide selection of coffees, Italian sodas, from breakfast to lunch. We had breakfast; the service was respectable and efficient, with the food satisfyingly delicious! Conveniently located next to the courthouse, with free parking.

Excellent omelet! It had a large amount of fresh veggies. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I'll come back next time I visit.

Don't encourage the new owner of this place by giving them your money. They have no idea how to run a restaurant. All the good things you hear about this place are true. But they only apply to the pre 2013 ownership!

What an incredible gem for Pekin! I was in a rush this morning but they quickly put together their breakfast wrap and an excellent flavored coffee drink for me. I definitely do not see this type of service much at all anymore. The wrap was by far the best I've ever had and their coffee drink totally puts bigger chains to shame. I'm thrilled to have found my new favorite place for breakfast 😁

Small menu but decently priced with an artsy, coffee shop atmosphere. Smack in the middle of downtown Pekin. Very cute location and building! Great service and friendly staff. I like to buy their coffee, though it's a little expensive.Not a great vegetarian or vegan selection. As a vegan I am only able to safely get salads after requesting no cheese :(

We love CJs. Food is delicious, staff is friendly. We enjoy seeing the high school art class projects on display. Good coffee selection too with all the add ons

Great family owned business with wonderful staff and food

Awesome little sandwich/coffee shop for lunch. But one older guy that is a manager or owner is a grump he doesn't like it if you have an issue with something. But everyone else is nice just stay away from the red faced grump.

I love this place. Very quaint atmosphere. Friendly staff, great food that is healthy. Great coffee. Local art decor is nice touch. Peanut butter bars and cookies are the bomb!

Nice and great service! Love the cute and artistic feel of the place. Feels like I'm on a coffee corner in Chicago when I'm really in Pekin. Food was excellent! Coffee good, this rustic place is to die for!
